Annette Funicello, an American singer and actor. Her most famous role was as "one of the very first Mouseketeers" from the Mickey Mouse Club. When she was a teen, she began her career in singing and became known for her hit songs 'Tall Paul' and 'Pineapple Princess.' Annette was born in Utica to Italian parents. When she was a kid, she was prone to timidity. Annette wanted to pursue her dream of becoming an entertainer and began dancing as well as acting. Around the middle of 1950, she appeared in several 'Disney' sketches in the role of part of one the "Mouseketeers" and gained considerable popularity. Later in her life, Annette shredded her 'Disney persona, and appeared in numerous adult parts. Since she was one of the early performers, Annette was recognized with introducing the "beach" style of party. She appeared in films such as "How to stuff a wild bikini as well as 'Pajama Party' and 'Beach Parties.' She continued to make music albums. Annette was diagnosed with MS in 1992.
